Litchfield Hills Adult Day Care is a social model center. We offer activities, games, arts & crafts, exercise and more.
We do not provide physical therapy or occupational therapy and do not have the facilities for bathing. Members come to enjoy socializing with peers while receiving mental stimulation and a lot of fun!
 
A typical day includes a morning coffee hour. Members gather in the dining room for a cup of coffee or tea. Sweetbreads are available most days. While waiting for all of the members to arrive, we work on crossword puzzles, word searches and coloring pages – and chat about the news. We also have fun answering trivia questions and talk about historical events.
 
After everyone has arrived and had a chance to settle in, we head to the activity room for some balloon toss and light exercise – typically lasting about a half hour or so. We then begin a late-morning craft which takes us right up to lunch. Not everyone enjoys arts & crafts, so we do provide other activities during this time.
